CatX extenders are used in Digital Signage networks to place information where it is most effective. CatX is used in retail banking as part of window displays or above the counter, to increase the impact of product presentations.
In fast moving financial markets, CatX extenders are used to distribute up to the second transaction information to every part of the trading floor.
As well as digital signage applications, CatX KVM extenders are also used for keeping trading desks compact and free of bulky computers. This includes the CatX Universal transmitter and 150m receivers such as CatX Console Rx. 300m receivers include the CatX supervisor Rx with the option for a local PC.
CatX is used as a vital component in many digital signage networks, delivering content to one or many displays. CatX extender products include dual display receivers (e.g. CatXQ AV Rx2) that can be daisy chained via Cat5 cable for distances up to 2000m.
The CatX range of extenders includes 150m and 300m receiver options. 300m receivers contain Skew correction technology that ensures a clear sharp image up to 300m. This is especially important at distances greater than 150m, where skew may affect the qaulity of the displayed image.
CatX AVP 2,4 and 8 port transmitters can be configured to deliver either Audio + Video or Video + Power. As well as long distance (300m) receivers the CatX range also includes the CatX mini VP (150m) receiver that can be powered by the AVP transmitters, keeping installation simple and straightforward.
Many retail environments require the same content to be delivered to multiple locations throughout the retail area. CatX extenders can be used to multiply the number of output devices, without adding additional players. This keeps infrastructure costs down and helps maximise the Return On Investment (ROI).
The CatX AVP 2,4 and 8 port transmitters can also be daisy chained together via the VGA connector to increase the number of Cat5 outputs and therefore the total number of display devices.
