XSQ™ technology provides perfect skew delay correction between the Red, Green and Blue VGA signals. This delay is as a direct result of transmitting RGB signals over Cat5/5e/6 cables.

Cat5 and Cat6 UTP cables are designed with a different number of twists, resulting in different lengths for each twisted pair. When transmitting RGB video signals over these cables, a colour separation occurs, affecting the image quality. This effect is referred to as “Skew”.

The skew level in Cat5 cables is often negligible, especially at distances below 100m; however skew can become significant when using Cat5e/6, in particular over longer distances.

To correct this effect, SY Electronics has developed XSQ™ technology, a skew correction system, which provides pin sharp images. This technology has been incorporated into all CatXQ products that operate up to 300m.
