A Console is the collective term for the Keyboard, Video Display and Mouse (KVM) that is connected to a computer.

The CatX Universal Tx  and CatX Universal Tx 2 can  have a console (keyboard, Video and Mouse) for local access.

With console access from both remote and local units, an additional securityfeature is standard with CatX universal transmitter units. When the local console attached to a universal transmitter is in use, the screen attached to the receiver unit is automatically switched off. This prevents screen activity being displayed at the receiver station when the operator is actively using the local console.
