VGA with RS232 Extenders
Description
The CatX Data Tx transmits the video and RS232 serial data signal from a PC to any VGA video display device and is ideal for extending touch screens. CatX Data can also allow the control of display devices via the serial interface. The transmitter unit will transmit VGA video and serial data up to a distance of 300m when connected to the CatXQ Data Rx.
This product provides a sharp high quality video at up to 300m, using low cost cat5 cabling. Resolutions of up to 2048 x 1536 are achievable depending on the length of UTP cable – see Resolution / Distance.
The transmission of full duplex RS232 serial data is particularly useful when a touch screen is located some distance from the attached PC, by transmitting serial data commands to any VGA display device with a serial interface.
The CatX Data units are quick and easy to install, as they are self configuring with no software required.
All CatX units have been styled with metal casing and are compact and lightweight. As such, they fit easily in environments with limited space.
