The Company was formed in 1983 as an electronics design, development and manufacturing organisation, specialising in microprocessor-controlled systems. Since it began SY Electronics Ltd has had numerous successes and is now a well-established company.

In 1993 the company developed a KVM (Keyboard, Video Mouse) switch for a major retail company, as part of a major I.T. infrastructure project. This was so successful that KVM switches were marketed under the brand “PC Switch”. A full range of KVM products then followed and led to design and development of a complete range of Cat5 KVM and Video extenders, sold under the brand CatX. CatX products are currently sold in over 32 countries world wide.
