CatX goes mobile in major bus contract

A major company that specialises in custom interiors for public transport has chosen CatX extender products for on board signage in two major bus fleet contracts. These buses will be used as part of public transport networks in the USA and UAE.

The compact design and low power consumption, makes CatX extender products ideal for use in both road and rail vehicles. CatX Cat5 extenders are deployed in a variety of digital signage networks.

These fleets will operate in desert environments where temperatures can vary by up to 30 degrees centigrade. One of the main reasons for choosing CatX products for this contract was the stability and consistent performance of the Products in these conditions.

CatX chosen for UK airports Flight Information Systems

Passengers need up to date information to guide them through any modern airport system. As Flight Information Displays (often referred to as FID’s) are replaced with newer flat screen displays, CatX Cat5 extenders have been chosen by several major airports in the UK as the content distribution system for the FID network.

Airports include London Luton, Cardiff, Liverpool John Lennon, Robin Hood Airport Doncaster and Manchester Airport. CatX Cat5 extenders are also installed in other regional airports including Blackpool and the Isle of Man.

CatX is the choice for Mecca

Rank Gaming, UK operator of over 100 Mecca Bingo Clubs have selected CatX VGA and audio extenders for their in-house digital signage network. This includes all Mecca locations throughout the UK. CatX is also used in a separate signage network in Rank’s Grosvenor Casinos.

The system is a major deployment and will consist of over 500 screens in total.
